The YWAM Africare Team desires to help and support our leaders, staff and students alike by means of an appropriate helping process regarding Trauma and Crisis related matters in Africa and greater missionary care related needs.
We desire to achieve this goal by facilitating training related courses, offering of resource material and telephonic support where through a coaching process we desire to assist and empower our leaders who often have to deal with these types of needs on the field.
World missions today is increasingly being faced by potential threats of terrorism, hijackers, attackers, tragic deaths. Mission organizations worldwide are actively preparing their missionaries to respond appropriately to such threats, urging teams to put contingency plans in place, and are selecting and equipping teams to respond to crisis situations. These are futuristic, ethical, and loving responses we too can make towards caring for our missionaries.
As a team we have already assisted our leaders and staff in the following places, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Kilmanjaro, Arusha, Zimbabwe, Jeffrey's Bay, Worcester, Muizenberg, Mauratania, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi amongst others.
God is able to cause us to become what we could not have become without our pain, our past or our hurt, this is the power of His redemption.
